Synopsis: Set in Wyoming and Texas in 1961, two young men, one a ranch hand and the other a rodeo cowboy, forge a lifelong friendship. A relationship that is complicated by the fact that each is married and has a family.

Comment: Based on Annie Proulx's short story of the same name. The adaptation originally was in development at Columbia with Scott Rudin producing and Gus Van Sant attached to direct. It was put into turnaround and picked up by Good Machine, making its way from there to Focus.
