Synopsis: A quadriplegic police forensics expert and best-selling author enlists a young female cop to serve as his eyes, ears and bodies in an investigation to apprehend a serial killer who leaves a string of tantalizing clues. Despite the objections of his superior to decipher the grisly clues, the bedridden expert and his young protégé persevere and, in the course of their dangerous and knotty investigation become physically attracted. Backdropping the investigation is the dying expert's personal plan to make the "final transition" with the assistance of a medical friend.
