Synopsis: A street mime whose performances are both unpopular and unprofitable takes a dreary clerical job and discovers a small enclave in the office and enters. Inside, he discovers he has been sucked into the inner consciousness of actor John Malkovich, seeing and experiencing life through Malkovich's inner being. This surreal transposition drastically changes his world, as well as the realities of his unsatisfied wife and a beautiful co-worker. Being John Malkovich radically alters everyone's behavior, including even that of the steely-eyed, bald-domed actor, and leads to hyper-levels of self-awareness and expression.
