Synopsis: A private detective suffers from a form of amnesia caused by a car explosion. His illness, which causes him to forget everything once he falls asleep, struggles to solve his latest case while trying to keep awake long enough to do it. His task is to retrieve a priceless coin, but he must stay out of the sites of the mobster who originally tried to kill him in the explosion. Aided and abetted by a mysterious woman, who supposedly died in the car blast, the sleep-deprived detective is further assisted by a zany terrier, a hyperactive dog with an eye patch who has a habit of running straight into everything.
