Synopsis: An outspoken farm wife in a small Wisconsin town, who has always been looked on with suspicion by her small-town peers for her ways, accidentally allows a child to drown at her family's farm. She is vilified by he townspeople and jailed. In jail, she comes to a personal epiphany on how to handle her personal and familial burdens.
