Synopsis: A rich, child-free and irresponsible Londoner in his thirties who, in search of available women, invents an imaginary son and starts attending single parent meetings. As a result of one of his liaisons, he meets an odd 12-year-old boy with problems at school. Gradually, they become friends, and as the man teaches the boy how to be a cool kid, the boy helps the man to finally grow up.

Comment: $2.75 million for the novel by Nick Hornby. Aka.."Father Figure." Out of Turnaround at New Line purchased by Universal.
