Synopsis: The music of vampire rock star Lestat de Lioncourt has awakened ancient Egyption Queen Akasha, the original vampire, Queen of the damned. Powerful Akasha kills many young vampires -- they explode in flames -- and she kidnaps Lestat to be her consort / partner as she prepares to rule the world. Her schemes: Kill the males, or almost all of them. Another vampire, Maharet, awaits the return of her twin sister to fullfil the prophecy and to Akasha's , mad scheme, and avenge a wrong committed by Akasha thousands of years ago.
