Synopsis: A popular New York inner city teacher is suspended when he takes his class from their dilapidated classroom to a McDonald's for a more hospitable environment and a robbery ensues. The students rally to protest their teacher's suspension and during the protest, an NYPD officer is accidentally shot in the leg. Police surround the building with seven of the protest leaders, along with the wounded officer, still inside. With a forum for their opinions, the students must examine themselves and decide what they really want to express with their lives.
