Synopsis: A politically charged story set in present day Texas and centering on a young philosophy professor who has vehemently lobbied against the death penalty. The story unfolds as the professor recounts his plight to a journalist from his seat on death row, where he has been sentenced for the brutal rape and murder of one of his anti-death-penalty activist colleagues.

Comment: Pitch purchase of a prison thriller. Cage's Saturn Films first set it up at Warner Bros, project went into turn-around and then acquired by Intermedia.
