Synopsis: A group of NASA astronauts in the year 2020 lift off to Mars in a rescue-mission to retrieve the commander of a previous crew, which was wiped out in a disaster. The four-man team must survive a meteor shower but their ship is so damaged that they hook up with a resupply module, their only hope for survival. Although they land successfully land on Mars their group leader dies. Once on the planet, they must do battle with alien monsters and come to learn about Mars' ancient civilization.

Comment: Finishing 15 days ahead of schedule in hopes to beat Warner Bros. Red Planet. Screens at Cannes Filmfestival 2000 out of Competition.
