Synopsis: About John Constantine who is a fallen from grace Exorcist, a self described former "rock star of the occult" whose monstrous ego caused the senseless death of a young girl some years ago. When the city of New York is plagued by a series of satanic serial killings, Constantine reluctantly aids the NYPD and ends up working side by side with another wounded soul, the homicide detective. Together they discover the the demon Balthazar is builiding a stairway up from hell using the souls of his victims as steps. Constantine creates an elaborate sting of spirits to stop the murdering.

Comment: Based on DC Comics 'Hellblazer'. Tarsem dropped out in Jan '02, leaving project in question. Keanu Reeves committed if a suitable director is found.
