Synopsis: Billy, a scrappy 11-year-old boy in war-torn Northern Ireland, hates the boxing class he is forced to join. He finds that he's drawn to the ballet class that is held at the local gym, but worries about how his macho father will react. Goaded into joining the class, Billy is a natural but feels he must keep his talents under wraps in the traditional community. Not surprisingly, his new "sport" is discovered and his boyhood self-esteem further challenged when he discovers a schoolmate likes to dress in girls' clothing.
