Synopsis:
Making Metamorphosis tells the story of a fiercely independent filmmaker,
Dylan Everett.
Although he was not well known to the general movie
going public, the four films he
made during the early 80s thru mid 90s are regarded
by film critic Raymond Carney as;
"...some of the most significant works of the latter
20th Century." A study of an artist,
in a country that seems to abhor the very word, Dylan
works completely outside the
Hollywood system. Often, writing, producing
directing, editing, and at times starring in
his own films. Dylan works with a small repertory
company of actors and crew, who, as
in the case of Christ and his followers, can be
considered Disciples. Moody, brooding,
dominate, loving, vague, and at times beyond
difficult (again much like Christ), these
people believe in his vision of film. In a sense,
Dylan is a sort of second coming. A
filmmaker who has come to save an industry that does
not wish to be saved.
