Synopsis: A boozing, profane superhero has an affair with the wife of the good-natured publicist who has offered to help repair his image.

Comment: Jonathan Mostow dropped out of pic as helmer due to creative differences with Smith. Smith brought on Gabriele Muccino, with whom he had just worked, but Muccino eventually left the project.
