Synopsis: During the 1980s civil war in El Salvador, a 12-year-old boy lives the last year of his childhood knowing that he has a decision hanging over his head that he'll either be forcibly recruited by the army or else he will run away and join the guerillas. Either way, the boy realizes he cannot avoid joining the war.
