Synopsis: Dark satire of moralistic afterschool specials starring Sedaris as Jerri, a frumpy and unattractive outcast who returned to high school after 30 years of hard living on the streets and in prison. However, the rough times don't end at school as, while trying to shed her immoral past, she's forced to mix and mingle with kids who are hipper, more beautiful and more popular than she is.

Comment: Based on the writing trio's cult hit show for Comedy Central which starred Sedaris in the lead role. Warner Independent Pictures paid in the region of $3 million to acquire North American rights.

WIP was due to release in Oct. '05, but pulled out of the distribution deal due to rights issues that they contend were not secured by filmmakers prior to sale. -- ThinkFilm has acquired all worldwide rights for 2 mil + perf. perks in 2/06.
