Synopsis: An eleven-year-old boy, the seventh son of a seventh son, learns that he is an Old One, destined to wield the powers of The Light in an ancient struggle with The Dark. He is tasked to find and join the pieces of one of the Things of Power before the forces of The Dark can stop him.

Comment: Based on 'The Dark is Rising' the second book in 'The Dark is Rising' series of fantasy novels by Susan Cooper. This will be the first book from the series developed as a film.

Jim Henson Co. had project in in dev. in the 90's, w/Andrew Klavan doing an adaptation.
