Synopsis: Released from prison after serving 25 years for the murder of his wife, Dr. Richard Kimble adjusts to society by returning home one night and discovering his new wife has been hacked to death and a one-armed man in his dwelling. The one-armed man escapes his clutches but he is readily convicted of murder. Sentenced to death, he makes an escape when being taken to prison when a train crashes into the transport bus. Unloosed in the rural wilds of the Midwest, his survival wiles are pitted against the tenacity of a federal marshal and his crack investigative team. It’s a game of cat and mouse with the intrepid lawman coming to actually believe in Kimble’s innocence, but he remains stubbornly steadfast in his pursuit, culminating in a rooftop confrontation in downtown Chicago.
