Synopsis: A slick, smooth-talking detective newly assigned to Los Angeles from New York, where he had solved a series of heinous murders, teams with a wisecracking partner to investigate a string of sadistic killings, dubbed the "Family" killings, in that entire families were wasted and their corpses aligned in the shape of a crucifix. Not all that he seems on the surface, the cop must go down some very mean new streets, populated not only by Russian Mafia but evil arms dealers.
