Synopsis: A mismatched detective team, including a straight-arrow bachelor who suffers a commitment problem and a scruffy father of two, are assigned to track down a missing witness in a mobster trial. Adding perplexity to their assignment, they are joined by a salty female assistant D.A., who insists on bringing her dog to the stakeout. Using the cover of being a middle class family – parents, a grown kid and a dog – their attempt to locate the witness is fraught with the humorous happenstances, many arising from what is, essentially, their relationship as a dysfunctional modern-day family.
