Synopsis: An ugly-duckly female English professor, who lectures on romantic love, attracts the attention of a handsome colleague, who has recently been jilted by his gorgeous girlfriend, with her dewy lecture on courtly love. The two begin to see each other, basing their relationships on a "union of souls." However, the woman realizes that their platonic love is lacking. She embarks on a beautification program, surprising him on his return from a lecture tour. Her dazzling transformation imbues her with a sexual confidence, which ignites her husband's passions, opening them to the full delights of a complete marriage.
