Synopsis: Larry Flynt, a feisty strip-joint owner starts up a sexually-provocative magazine Hustler and endures the censorship of his conservative Cincinnati peers. With the popularity and financial explosion of his new rag mag, he continues to test the boundaries of good taste and the protection of the First Amendment, while engaging in a bizarre marriage with one of his ex-strippers. His life takes an ironic fall, when he's wounded and paralyzed below the waist, unable to perform sex but still the reigning head of a sex-publications empire. Descending into drug use and besieged on every legal front, Flynt continues to fight for his publishing empire under the protection of the First Amendment, becoming a notorious advocate for free speech.
