Synopsis: A LAPD officer, along with a liaison officer who is a specialist in Japanese culture, team up to solve the murder of a young woman at a party celebrating the opening of a new Japanese-owned office tower in downtown Los Angeles. To solve the case, they must first unlock the mindset of the killer, factoring in both the business and psychological profile of Japanese thinking. In addition to dealing with mean streets of L.A., their investigation unravels some troubling and deadly by-play, most ominously bringing into play the murderous force of the Japanese mob. As they get further into the case, the clues take them to the highest places in business and governmental towers.
