Synopsis: A demented terrorist rigs a Los Angeles city bus, tripping it to explode if it travels at a speed less than 50 mph. When the driver is shot, a woman who, ironically, has just lost her license for speeding, takes over the wheel. She keeps the pedal to the medal, barreling through congested Los Angeles while trying to keep the speed above 50 mph. Not only must she keep her eye on the road, but also on her diverse load of passengers, including the dangerous crazies that can be often found on L.A. mass transit. Her rush to maintain speeds way in excess of what the driving conditions allow makes for some bruising, demolition-derby type broadsides, including, most dangerously, soaring out over a 50-foot gap in the construction of a freeway overpass.
