Synopsis: A short and feisty Brooklyn high school teacher tries to score extra cash by volunteering to coach the boy's basketball team, a ragged group of inner-city kids who can slam and jam. Highly skeptical of being coached by a pudgy white woman, the team members eventually rally behind her when they realize that she is there for them off the court, as well as on.
