Synopsis: A small-town rock band in 1964 attracts fame with a pulsating rock 'n roll ditty. From gigs at local pizza joints, they're suddenly hot and acquire a savvy agent who changes their name, fashions their image and takes them to Hollywood. All the while, the naïve but appealing members find that fame, as well as relationships, are fleeting, spinning off in a unique but common professional refrain of other bands who too have been "one-hit wonders."
