Synopsis: A widowed boatman, long grieving over his departed wife, still writes love letters to her, sealing them in bottles and turning them out to sea. One of the missives is found by a love-starved Chicago journalist and she falls in love with him. They launch into a long-distance romantic relationship that is fraught with all the wonders and perils of such a serendipitous union.
