Synopsis: Z, a neurotic and dissatisfied insect, clamors to leave his life of underground toil and stretch his wings. As he rants, this ant falls in love with a beautiful princess ant. Scheming to meet her, he convinces his macho, military friend to let him switch places at a ceremonial inspection and, in a fit of neurotic flurry, manages to whisk her away. All the while, he tries to rally the other worker ants to rise up against their mindless totalitarian environment.
