MURDOCH ORDERED BUSH INTERVIEW ON FOX, REPORT CLAIMS

News Corp executives telephoned program managers at the Fox TV network and informed them that Chairman Rupert Murdoch wanted them to find time in their schedule for an interview with President Bush by Fox News Channel's Brit Hume, the Washington Post Reported today (Wednesday), citing Fox sources. Murdoch's request reportedly resulted in the shifting of next Monday's edition of Performing As, in which amateurs attempt to imitate celebrity entertainers, to a later hour and Paradise Island to another day.

today
(Friday)
that
it
had
sold
its
8.1
percent
stake
in
the
Japanese
home-satellite
service
Sky
Perfect
for
about
$227
million.
The
company
reportedly
plans
to
use
sale
proceeds
to
help
fund
its
purchase
of
Hughes
Electronics/DirecTV
from
General
Motors.
