The Oscar-winning documentary The Fog of War is being vastly expanded in its DVD incarnation, Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment has disclosed. The film, which focuses on former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara's recollections of America's involvement in Vietnam, will include an additional 24 scenes that were not seen in the 107-minute theatrical film. Errol Morris, who produced and directed the film, told Video Store magazine: "Making a movie, the goal is something that will work in a theater." The new material included in the DVD was culled from the more than 20 hours of interviews with McNamara that were shot for the film as well as footage that Morris discovered in the National Archives.
