ABC'S SWEENEY NAMED HOLLYWOOD'S MOST POWERFUL WOMAN

Anne Sweeney, who was appointed president of Disney's ABC Television Group and co-chairman of its media networks two years ago, is now the most powerful woman in Hollywood, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which released the names on its Power 100 list of top women in the entertainment industry Monday. Judy McGrath chairman and CEO of MTV Networks, was ranked second on the list, followed by Stacey Snider, chairman of Universal Pictures.

efforts

the
Multi-Ethnic
Media
Coalition
--
in
particular
for
its
efforts
to
increase
Hispanic
presence
in
front

the
cameras.
The
National
Latino
Media
Council,
a
member
of
the
coalition,
awarded
the
network
a
grade
of
B
for
airing
two
shows
with
Hispanics
as
title
characters,
The
George
Lopez
Show
and
Freddie,
starring
Freddie
Prinze
Jr.,
and
for
including

the
November
sweeps
for
the
key
18-49-year-old
demographic
group
are
awaiting
a
photo-finish
examination,
with
most
analysts
now
calling
it
a
dead
heat.

Overnight
figures
for
Wednesday,
the
final
night
of
the
sweeps,
showed
ABC
with
a
5.4
rating
in
the
demo,
edging
out
CBS
with

5.3.

overall
households,
averaging
a
9.5
rating
and

share
