NOLTE EYEING HBO'S LUCK

Nick Nolte is currently in talks to join HBO's pilot Luck starring Dustin Hoffman. The drama will center on horse racing and gambling, and Nolte's proposed role would have him as a talented racehorse trainer. Though Nolte has not worked in television recently, his breakthrough role on the miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man in 1976 jump started his career. Michael Mann will be directing the pilot as well as executive producing with creator David Milch. Recently Kevin Dunn joined the cast which in addition to Hoffman includes Dennis Farina, John Ortiz and Kerry Condon (Rome). Shooting is set to begin in the coming weeks with HBO planning to air the drama early 2011.
