Despite the efforts of Oscar winners Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr., the new movie Instinct is receiving mostly poor reviews. Rita Kempley in the Washington Post calls it "a sloppily structured, snoozily paced psychodrama about living in harmony with nature and all the rest of that tree-hugging hooey." Mike Clark of USA Today predicts that the film will have little popular appeal. "In terms of significance and durability, welcome to The Silence of the Gnats," he writes. And Philip Wuntch in the Dallas Morning News dismisses it as "one suffocatingly pompous flick." |
