 Cute, fun and witty, Michael Cera has proven himself a box office staple in his latest coming-of-age tale, Youth In Revolt. Cera does the beloved novel justice in a story about a teenager wise beyond his years who will go great lengths to win over the girl of his dreams, played by Portia Doubleday. Robert W. Butler from Kansas City Star says, “Just roll with the amusement provided by Cera and a deep supporting cast (Justin Long, Fred Willard, Adhir Kalyan, Jonathan B. Wright) and the ability of director Arteta and Screenwriter Gustin Nash to keep matters at just the right ironic distance". Houston Chronicle reporter Amy Biancolli calls it “a clever and often riotous burst of cynicism that pushes, let’s face it, some pretty questionable ideas.” |
