Kissing a Fool, starring David Schwimmer, is dismissed in a few sentences by Doug Ellin in the Washington Post. "The stubbled guppy from Friends flounders his way through this painfully awful romantic comedy, cast as a hunk," he writes. Kevin Thomas in the Los Angeles Times, calls it a "romantic comedy at its slightest and most contrived, passable date-night fare for the easily diverted and as disposable as an empty popcorn bag." But Anita Gates in the New York Times finds the film "likable" and says that "watching David Schwimmer play the bad boy, fabulously, is a lot of fun." |
